AMS Modeling ServcesLynguent has a strong team of engineers and technical managers who have extensive experience in developing and maintaining analog mixed signal models and libraries. These models are available for use in a variety of simulation environments from major industry vendors. We also have extensive experience in developing tools to target specific design environment needs that standard EDA products do not address. Samples of our modeling services include:
AMS SoC Verification
SoC verification is a time consuming and complex process for all system designers and handling analog and mixed signal elements can be especially difficult. It is essential that design teams develop solid repeatable verification methodologies in order to meet tight production schedule demands. Lynguent’s consultants will work as an integral part of your verification team to improve both your test coverage as well as the speed of verification using such services as:
- VHDL Real number modeling – allows analog blocks to run in digital simulator
- Extract Cadence® schematics for verification in digital simulator
- Provide static and dynamic supply domain modeling and verification
- Provide models with meta-behaviors for SoC verification and HW/SW integration.
- AMS Assertions
- Meta-behaviors
- Manufacturing variation
- AMS Defects
- AMS Faults
- Real number test benches to validate BigD + BigA designs
- Verilog-A(MS) modeling
- Deliver Verilog-A or Verilog-AMS Cadence cell views for a completed circuit
- Deliver Verilog-A or Verilog-AMS Test Benches to Validate models and circuits
Compact Modeling
Two common challenges in IC design are having an existing design that does not capture a specific required effect and the need to improve simulation performance of the compact models. Our compact modeling team can show you how to add new effects to compact models without changing the original design, and how to make your compact models run faster by eliminating unnecessary effects in the model. Lynguent’s compact modeling services include items such as:
- Provide compact models in Verilog-A for specific simulator dialects
- Spectre
- Eldo
- SPICE3f5
- Implement proprietary device model
- Port existing proprietary models from C to Verilog-A or VHDL-AMS
- Immediate support for BSIM430, PSP, Mextram504
- Enhance compact models with new effects
- Radiation Effects
- Total Ionizing Dose
- Single Event Transient
- Self heating
- Analog Assertions
- Electrical Compliance
- Thermal Compliance
- Radiation Effects
Lynguent brings decades of experience in behavioral modeling in multiple disciplines. If you are looking to create a methodology for your organization, this experience and expertise is available to you. We will work with you to define requirements and use them to craft a pragmatic approach that manages design complexity. Additionally we can provide hands on model development to support your design needs.Lynguent’s modeling services group can compose analog mixed signal models from the following:
- Behavioral sources:
- Data Sheet
- SPICE transistor level simulation
- Measured data (provided by customer)
- We can deliver models in the following formats
- VHDL-AMS
- Saber-MAST
- Verilog-AMS
- Verilog-A
- Eldo-FAS
- SPICE Macromodels
- P-spice Macromodels
Conversion of Legacy Models
Do you need to convert an existing model or model library from one language to another to support different simulators? For example, our AMS model development team can provide translation support for:
- Verilog-A to VHDL-AMS
- MAST to VHDL-AMS
- Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, or VHDL-AMS retargeted to a different simulator
We can also provide you with hands-on assistance and training for optimizing your existing set of models to support multiple simulator specific dialects. We can help you build and organize your core building block library for rapid model composition and reuse.
