ModLyng™
Lynguent's Integrated Modeling Environment
What's New in ModLyng 1.3.2
Lynguent's Release V1.3.2 includes many new features in ModLyng™ Integrated Modeling Environment (IME). ModLyng enables engineers to effectively manage increasing design complexity and to rapidly respond to market demands by by significantly reducing the time it takes to deliver production ready designs to manufacturing.
This release also includes expanded language coverage for Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS and VHDL-AMS simulator specific dialects, improvements in our integration with Cadence® DFII, and the introduction of the System Level Toolkit.
This release is available for both the Windows and Linux platforms.
New capabilities for ModLyng IME:
Topology Editor now supports export of graphics to PNG and other formats as well as enhanced search capability.
Improved performance in Equation, Symbol and Declaration Editors, including support for array declarations
Plugin capability: simulate and enhance models with Python plugins
- Direct invocation of the Spectre simulator from ModLyng.
- User simulation script support added for in-house simulators
- Automatic wrapping of ModLyng effects with wrapper plugin
- Validation of model I/O with entity check plugin
Expanded HDL Support:
- VHDL-AMS language feature support for additional predefined attributes.
- Verilog-A and Verilog-AMS language feature support for empty disciplines, undefined nets, and ground declarations.
- Verilog-A and Verilog-AMS support for file I/O functions.
New Product Introduction:
The System Level Toolkit together with the ModLyng IME enables you to quickly create system level models for a design and simulate the model in your existing HDL-ready circuit simulator using Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, or VHDL-AMS. This methodology allows you to quickly and accurately migrate your Simulink system level design into your circuit simulation environment. The toolkit consists of a collection of models that implement behavior equivalent to that of the corresponding Simulink® block. For ease of use, these models are organized in libraries as they are in Simulink.
